Dynasty Wills
Where there’s a will, there’s a way
Approaching Let’s Do Marketing for support with taking her website to the next level, Emma Baker, Owner of Dynasty Wills and Estate Planning in Hastings, tells us how performance of her website has improved, and how she plans to continue to take her business forward, educating and supporting the community to secure their financial futures.
Dynasty Wills is a Will Writing service based in Hastings, East Sussex offering the drafting of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, alongside advice on financial planning and probate. Emma founded Dynasty Wills in 2021, aptly named to represent a lion’s dynasty – and in this case ensuring your legacy lives on. She sought to create a service that would make will writing a contemporary and customised experience, tailored to each individual, and simple, without the complex language and complicated processes that clients had become wary of. Offering a fixed fee for her services, and flexible appointments to suit the client, Dynasty Wills takes the weight off your shoulders and brings a fresh mindset to a traditionally feared process.
Emma Baker has always believed in helping people. After training as a barrister, the effects of the pandemic saw her diversifying into private client work, specifically will writing. As a young mind in what could be seen in an aging industry, she saw an opportunity to squash the stereotype and create a business that would not only make approaching writing a will more accessible, but also educate the younger generation on the importance of protecting their future. The average age that a person completed a will in 2022 was 49*, and to Emma, this is something that people should consider at a much younger age.
Whilst Emma’s knowledge of the legal system is excellent, this was her first time running a business, and so she lacked confidence in what she needed to do in other areas, including her marketing. Using Wix.com she created herself a one page website landing page to get started, but wasn’t sure what she needed to do to develop this or make it more visible on Google.
Having received some support from Let’s Do Business Group’s business manager Emily Wright, she was referred to Stacey Pretty from new marketing consultancy Let’s Do Marketing for some help in improving the user experience on her website and her online presence, particularly locally. From discussions with Stacey, it became clear that the website was the current focal point and where Dynasty Wills needed to give its attention to first.
Coming together they worked on which keywords Dynasty Wills wanted to target, rewriting content to suit those keywords, and splitting up the one-page website into multiple pages tailored for each service offered. This new approach provided a more professional impression to the website’s visitors, and the opportunity to target different keywords for different pages, widening the reach for the website.
Several months on, Emma has been very pleased with the results. She has seen a steady increase in both web traffic and enquiries and has received some excellent feedback from finance partners on the improvements made.
Looking forward, Emma is now planning to continue her success and take the next steps for growth, hoping to soon take on her first employee. She is optimistic for the future, and the continued rise of Dynasty Wills. You can find out more by visiting https://www.dynastywills.co.uk/ or following her Facebook Page
